A Visionary Comeback" captures the challenging yet rewarding journey of restoring sight in a patient who presented with a severely compromised eye following an abandoned cataract surgery. The patient arrived with iridodialysis, iris chaffing, and residual lens matter in the anterior vitreous. Visual acuity was reduced to hand movements, with intraocular pressure exceeding 60 mmHg. This video documents the meticulous approach to cataract extraction, secondary scleral-fixated intraocular lens (SFIOL) implantation, and iridodialysis repair. Each surgical step demonstrates precision, innovation, and resilience in the face of complexity. Postoperative recovery was remarkable, with the patient achieving a visual acuity of 6/12 by Day 1, embodying the essence of surgical redemption—a true visionary comeback.
