Intralesional Triamcinolone: A novel technique of management of Cicatricial Ectropion

Purpose To study outcomes of Intralesional triamcinolone for treatment of Cicatricial Ectropion Methods In this prospective interventional case series, 6 eyes from June 2022 to June 2024 were included. They were given Intralesional Triamcinolone and outcomes were noted as decrease in grade of ectropion, palpebral fissure height and lagophthalmos Minimum 1 and maximum 3 injections were given Results: Mean age was 48 years Mean follow-up was 12 ± 2 months. 4 patients had grade 4 ectropion which decreased to grade 1after 3 injections and 2 patients had grade 2 ectropion which was corrected by 2 Inj and 1 inj respectively Average PFH was 18mm which decreased to 12mm Adequate Lid closure could be achieved in all cases Any residual Ectropion was corrected surgically Conclusion: Intralesional triamcinolone is a promising technique for correcting or reducing Cicatricial ectropion
