Glaucoma

Assess Peripapillary Vascular Density in Glaucomatous Cupping and Physiological Cupping Using OCT-A

Study Design & Methods-This is a hospital-based cross-sectional observational study with a sample size of 90 patients (30 in each group).All eligible participants undergo:1. IOP measurement using GAT 2. RNFL thickness assessment using SD-OCT 3.OCTA Group 1:Glaucomatous cupping,Group 2: Physiological cupping,Group 3: Control group Results:Group 1 exhibited significantly lower RPC vessel density compared to other groups (P < 0.001).No significant difference between Group 2 and Group 3 (P = 0.559)IOP (mmHg):Group 1: 17.66 ± 4.01,Group 2: 14.49 ± 2.16,Group 3: 12.96 ± 1.16Average RNFLthickness (µm):Group 1: 91.97 ± 41.40,Group 2: 140.62 ± 28.78,Group 3: 133.42 ± 19.70. Conclusion:
Using OCTA, glaucomatous eyes showed reduced RPC vessel density compared with physiological cupping and normal controls. This finding may help differentiate between physiological and glaucomatous cupping.Purpose-to Assess Peripapillary Vascular Density in Glaucomatous Cupping and Physiological Cupping Using OCT-A
