Entropion in immune mediated Chronic Cicatrising Ocular surface disease

Design: Retrospective chart review 
Purpose: To highlight the profile and long follow up after surgical correction of immune mediated cicatricial entropion other than that caused by Stevens Johnson syndrome.
Method: Retrospective chart review (13 eyelids of 9 patients) who underwent entropion surgeries to treat immune mediated cicatricial entropion other than Stevens Johnson syndrome with a 12 month follow up. Diagnosis was made clinically (n=4) or histopathologically (n=5) between 1st January 2022 and 31st December 2023.
Result: Etiologies were Mucus Membrane Pemphigoid (9 eyelids of 7 cases), Linear IgA disease (2 eyelids in 1 case) and Lichen Planus (2 eyelids in 1 case). The patients were managed with single or combined surgeries as anterior lamellar repositioning, retractor plication, mucus membrane graft. One eyelid required a revision procedure due to progression.
Conclusion: Targeted management of immune mediated cicatrising ocular surface disease yields robust outcomes.
